Arul Hamill

Arul worked in Child Development teams from 1991 to 1999 before running a private practice from 2003 to 2025. Arul worked with the Accident Compensation Commission (ACC) and with school learning support units in Aotearoa. Arul founded and co-created Paediatric OT Ltd., a private practice in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Arul has extensive experience working with children with developmental delay, congenital syndromes, cerebral palsy, head injuries including shaken baby syndrome, prematurity, learning disability, neurological conditions, equipment support, andcross cultural support. Arul has extensive experience working in the community including working with families in their homes and with children and their teachers in schools. Arul has completed post-graduate training in clinical reasoning frameworks (Bobath, Baby Bobath and Advanced Baby Bobath); neurobiology and development; infant and baby massage; sensory integration theory and practice; and the Perceive, Recall, Plan and Perform (PRPP) framework.
